Shockwave expands marine seating range into Europe
Shockwave Seats has expanded its distribution in Sweden, Finland and Denmark to cater for the growth in demand for suspension bases and seats in Scandinavia.
The Canadian marine seating and suspension company has chosen Comstedt as its exclusive distributor for Sweden, Denmark and Finland which will further expand its reach into Europe.
“We are excited to welcome Comstedt as the Shockwave distributor in Scandinavia,” said Tanis Bradshaw, recreational sales and marketing manager, Shockwave.
“Comstedt is placing our recreational suspension bases within easy access of a boating community that has shown an increasing interest in the Shockwave product line.”
Safety and comfort
In the past twelve months Shockwave’s European representatives, UK-based Global Marine Associates (GMA) have continued to increase the company’s exposure in Europe, appointing a network of distributors that stock and promote Shockwave’s recreational product range.
The company’s product range includes the S3 and S2 series helm and jockey seats, featuring advanced shock absorption technology with 8-inch and 6-inch shocks respectively.
These seats are widely used in government vessels, search and rescue (SAR) operations and high-end recreational boats, where space-saving and safety are paramount.
In addition, Shockwave’s ICE Console takes protection to the next level with 12-inch shocks, integrating controls, electronics and occupants into a single, shock-absorbing unit. This innovative design ensures maximum safety for military and SAR operations in extreme sea conditions.
Founded in 1965, Shockwave has been at the forefront of shock mitigation since 2001, when the US Coast Guard became its first customer.
The company’s advanced marine suspension seats, designed for both professional and recreational markets, have become essential deck equipment for military, law enforcement and commercial vessels worldwide.
