Survival radio raises the bar in marine safety
Ocean Signal has unveiled its safeSEA V200 GMDSS Survival Radio, a next-generation VHF radio designed to enhance marine safety and strengthen essential marine communication.
Engineered to support both routine operations and emergency use, the survival radio delivers reliable communication capabilities for commercial fleets, cargo vessels, fishing crews and offshore teams.

Dual-purpose
Newly launched at METSTRADE 2025, the safeSEA V200 offers two configurations: A dedicated GMDSS emergency unit or a dual-battery kit for both everyday operation and survival scenarios.
The primary Lithium battery activates automatic GMDSS distress mode, powering the radio instantly on channel 16 with preset volume and squelch levels. The optional rechargeable Lithium-ion battery enables general-purpose use across International, US and Canadian channel sets.
Built for extreme conditions, the compact and lightweight radio exceeds IPX7 waterproof standards and can be operated while wearing survival suit gloves.
Its backlit digital display and keypad ensure clear visibility in low-light situations, while NFC technology offers quick access to battery schedules and product data via compatible devices.
Each safeSEA V200 includes a mountable base, flexible antenna, belt clip and wrist lanyard, reinforcing Ocean Signal’s commitment to advancing marine safety and dependable maritime communication technology.
The fully certified handheld device complies with IMO and SOLAS standards, including RESOLUTION MSC.515(105) and meets all international GMDSS requirements.
