Danelec Marine has opened a new European distribution centre in Copenhagen to better serve its growing business regionally. Managed by GEODIS, a leading global supply chain command company, the distribution centre will carry a full range of Danelec Marine products and parts, including ECDIS, Voyage Data Recorders (VDRs) and Simplified Voyage Data Recorders (S-VDRs).
Danelec Marine is also creating an online portal where customers can place orders and track the status of their orders and shipments. The online service will be available 24/7 and be fully automated.
“The new distribution centre will provide our European distribution and service partners with faster access to a full inventory of products,” said Hans Ottosen, CEO of Danelec Marine. “It will augment our existing distribution centre in Thailand, providing consistent and fast service response times for our customers across Asia and Europe. This is part of Danelec Marine’s strategy to serve our customers worldwide and provide an integrated product service solution that is without compare in the maritime industry.”
Danelec Marine says it has taken major steps over the past year to expand and strengthen its global service capability, adding new Certified Service Centres and distributors in key locations around the world. Currently, Danelec Marine has service facilities with factory-trained personnel in more than 50 countries.
