Seawork participants will be given an insight into BIMCOs Windtime,a specialised time charter party designed for the offshore wind farm sector, at this years event.
Windtime was specially developed for crew transfer vessels and the like operating in the offshore windfarm industry by a BIMCO Sub Committee consisting of representatives of the vessel owners.
It is quickly becoming the charter of choice for the industry, as Windtime is designed to be easy to understand and to use.
Mark Meade of Holyhead Marine Services was asked to chair the Sub-Committee: “I was very pleased to be able to steer the process to an extent towards what I believed would be appreciated and used by the industry as a standard for the future.”
As part of the Seawork conference on Thursday 12 June, Mr Meade and Grant Hunter, who was responsible for the Secretariat aspects on behalf of Bimco, will be explaining the process of creating it and why it is believed to be an improvement on alternatives.
There will be a question and answer time during the session.
The session will take place in Conference Room 1 at 10:00am to 10:45am.
