A French floating wind expo taking place in October aims to bring stakeholders together across the whole sector to share both knowledge and expertise.

The International Floating Wind Power (FWP) Atlantic Forum will take place from 2 to 4 October 2017.

On the first day in Saint-Nazaire, the Forum will include interactive technical workshops to stakeholders the opportunity to engage with industry experts on innovation and technical challenges.

Workshops will be run by GE Renewable Energy, STX Europe Offshore Energy and SEM-REV Floatgen (Idéol, Bouygues TP, Centrale Nantes).

The second day will include innovative sessions on floating wind power with the emphasis on financing, port facilities, cost reduction and progress on pilot arrays.

On the last day in Lorient there will be the opportunity to take part in technical visits.

This second edition of the FWP Atlantic Forum comes at a time when the SEM-REV test site is installing the first Floatgen floating turbine off the coast at Le Croisic.
