Get set for Workboat 2050 line-up revealed
The final line-up has been announced for session one of Get set for Workboat 2050 series 2, due to launch at Seawork Connect on 5 October.
Part of Mercator Media’s Commercial Marine Network and in association with the Workboat Association, ‘Get set for Workboat 2050’ will include insight from Chris Huxley-Reynard, managing director of Reygar Ltd; Taras Pavlyuk, technical sales engineer at AST Marine Sciences Ltd; and Mike Proudlove, general manager at Offshore Turbine Services (OTS)
The series continues with the theme of decarbonisation with the session topic of ‘Vessel tracking & monitoring: Optimise your fleet and minimise carbon emissions with vessel tracking and monitoring technology’.
What’s on the agenda?
With 20 years of industry experience, Huxley-Reynard will discuss a wide range of sustainability and efficiency-related topics including accurately quantifying carbon footprint, fuel and power consumption as part of a carbon management plan; monitoring vessel machinery health as part of a preventative maintenance strategy; and KPI analytics capability that allows business issues and efficiencies to be identified.
He helped drive the development of Reygar’s BareFLEET remote monitoring system from its early inception and will talk about the current adoption of the system across different commercial marine users.
Proudlove will present on OTS’s experience using Marfle telemetry and analytics for the last four years and how it has improved vessel reliability, changed driving habits and reduced emissions.
He has been involved in the management of CTVs in the Renewables and Marine Civils sectors for ten years and has also worked as master of a CTV.
Pavlyuk will explain the main benefits of AST’s iRAMS solution. He will then talk about fleet optimisation and how unplanned breakdowns can be reduced utilising engine telemetry. Using examples, he will also talk about cost saving can be managed. Pavlyuk is the lead for AST’s vessel performance monitoring system.
Kerrie Forster, CEO of the Workboat Association will deliver the welcome address and the second series will continue to be moderated by Andy Page, MD of Chartwell Marine.
