BMT appoints new chairman
UK-based maritime design, engineering and risk management consultancy BMT has appointed a new chairman.
Ian Tyler joined the board on May 1 and will step into the chairmanship in June to replace Charles Packshaw, who has been on the board for nine years.
Tyler has experience with listed public companies in executive and non-executive director capacities. across sectors including energy, infrastructure, technology, defence and engineering.
He is the former CEO of Balfour Beatty and has board experience with companies such as BAE Systems, Cairn Energy and Anglo American.
