A new dealership has been signed thanks to a meeting at Seawork in June this year, says Prior Power Solutions, which will now supply Kohler generators in the UK.
The deal was reached after Prior Power Solutions met up with fellow exhibitor Atlantis Marine Power (AMP) at the commercial marine event in Southampton, where Prior Power was designated service agent for Kohler.
Prior Power will also supply the full range of parts and accessories, with free delivery to local customers.
“We already represent a number of prestigious OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and component manufacturers as authorised dealers, but there was a clear growing demand for quality marine generators to suit the needs of the industry, where efficiency is key,” said Parts & Engine sales manager Stuart Holland.
“I’ve always been impressed with the generators from Kohler. It was a great opportunity to meet them at Seawork as they looked to expand their dealer network.”
Technicians at Prior Power Solutions will have specialist training to support warranty and service calls for Kohler.
“Quite a number of our customers, particularly in offshore wind, have Kohler generators on their vessels,” said Daniel Platten, service manager. “Being a service agent for Kohler will support them with an approved service provider on their doorstep and allow us to provide them with comprehensive service support for all their equipment onboard.”
