Maersk drops Svitzer towage division

Maersk became a majority shareholder in Svitzer in 1979 (Svitzer)

Svitzer goes it alone: Maersk has de-listed its towage and salvage division, arguably the oldest such firm in the world.

Maersk says that in recent years it has “taken several steps to simplify its business and focus on integrated logistics”.
