The 25th edition of Europe’s largest commercial marine and workboat exhibition, provides businesses the opportunity to showcase their services, equipment, vessels and supplies to an international audience. Speed@Seawork on Monday 10 June in Cowes offers a sector specific event that showcases fast vessels operating at high speed for security interventions and Search & Rescue. Oil clean-up underway at Europe’s largest natural harbour
In what has been branded a ‘major incident’ by media, 200 barrels of reservoir fluid (85% water, 15% oil) have leaked from a pipeline into Poole harbour on the south coast of England.
The leak on March 26 came from a pipeline operated by oil and gas company Perenco, and fears have been raised over the effects the spill may have on a nearby Site of Special Scientific Interest, which is home to many species of wild birds.
