Re-power deal confirmed at Seawork
One of many deals made at Seawork has been confirmed for PME Group.
Power solutions provider PME Group signed a contract at the recent Seawork exhibition and conference to re-power a Picton pilot boat for Milford Haven Port Authority.
Two MAN D2868 LE 446 engines will power the 19.75 vessel after extensive talks at the show concluded with the deal.
“PME successfully demonstrated the MAN engines as the most viable option through whole life costings, which showed significant advantages against the competition and the extensive support on offer from PME once in operation,” said PME Sales Manager Martin Jackson.
“Looking for a new engine partner for re-powers can be a tricky and resource-heavy commitment,. We were delighted to be there each step of the way working with Milford Haven Port Authority to advise and inform the best options for them at this time.
“We will continue to support them through the re-power process and into operation.”
