Environment Agency awards beach framework deal

The Environment Agency has appointed Van Oord UK and VBA Joint Venture (comprising VolkerStevin, Boskalis Westminster and AtkinsRéalis) to a major framework that will deliver beach maintenance and coastal protection works across England through to at least 2032

The Beach Management Framework, valued at up to £1.23 billion excluding VAT, will support routine and emergency works designed to reduce the risk of coastal flooding to homes, businesses and critical infrastructure.
