The 27th edition of Europe’s largest commercial marine and workboat exhibition provides businesses the opportunity to showcase their services, equipment, vessels and supplies to an international audience. Speed@Seawork on 8th June in Cowes offers a sector specific event that showcases fast vessels operating at high speed for security interventions and Search & Rescue. Ireland lays out plans for offshore wind hub
Plans have been set out for a purpose-built port facility dedicated to offshore wind in the southeast of Ireland.
Ireland currently has just one operational offshore wind farm, the Arklow Bank Wind Park, which was commissioned in 2004. However it has 79 projects on the board, with about six in the consent or planning stage, including the expansion of the Arklow Bank site.
