Subsea cable failures cost industry millions, says IMCA

IMCA code

With an annual subsea cable failure rate of 30% and a resulting €570 million in losses, IMCA has published a code of practice to try and improve the situation.

The code addresses safe laying and terminating offshore power cables to prevent damage, which is a major challenge for offshore wind.
