Marine turbocharged performance at Seawork 2010
Dorset UK based Turbo Dynamics will unveil a lesser known side to its respected turbocharger business at Seawork 2010, namely marine turbocharging.
Having been bound by a confidentiality agreement, which has now been formally lifted, Turbo Dynamics (TD) reveals that its many years of experience within the turbocharger field includes supplying turbos to the marine market. In fact, with over 18 years’ experience in marine turbo remanufacturing, TD has an extensive, worldwide marine customer base ranging from the Navy to powerboat racing teams, cross-Channel ferry operators, commercial workboat and fishing vessel operators.
The company is internationally recognised for its ISO 9001:2008 accredited quality, product range and technical expertise.
Respected as one of the world’s leading combined turbocharger remanufacturer and hybrid turbocharger designers, TD boasts a wealth of experience in a variety of turbo markets, covering all sectors requiring efficiency and reliability from its products.
Remaining instrumental in turbocharger evolution, Turbo Dynamics supplies, services, remanufactures, upgrades and modifies original equipment turbochargers by top manufacturers such as ABB, Napier, MTU, MAN B&W, Yanmar, KKK, Garrett, Holset, IHI and Mitsubishi.
The machine shops include in-house manufactured jigs and fixtures, dynamic balancing machines and full welding facilities. All of which are geared up to repair, recondition and metal-spray shafts, work with all types of materials, provide standard maintenance, replace parts, service, re-engineer and resolve performance issues.
One of TD’s biggest assets is its team of trained turbocharger engineers. Highly experienced in the marine turbocharging industry, they boast in-depth product knowledge and are able to ensure the customer is provided with a cost effective solution to their turbocharger problems. The engineers meet customer requirements for parts, overhaul and breakdown servicing, and are also able to manufacture bespoke components that are obsolete or otherwise irreplaceable. As part of its cost effective and time saving work, the TD team also offers a marine turbocharger breakdown service
Turbo Dynamics will be on Stand 158 for Seawork International 2010. Marine turbochargers will be on display and TD’s senior marine turbocharger engineer will be on hand to answer visitors’ questions.
