MMF Forum

The Hydrographic Society UK, which has an extensive individual and corporate membership at home and abroad in nearly 45 countries, is to host the 59th non-profit Marine Measurement Forum covering key issues for all inshore and offshore applications, at BP’s Upstream Learning Centre, Sunbury-on-Thames, on Friday 7 July.

The customary agenda will feature a series of 20-minute presentations by leading experts from research and commercial organisations on topics ranging from current scientific projects to instrumentation and survey techniques. Registration cost inclusive of refreshments is £45 at www.ths.org.uk. The event will be preceded the day before by a celebratory gathering at the local Magpie inn on the banks of the Thames, original venue for the first 80 meetings of the forerunner of The Society.

Meantime future hosts of twice-yearly day-long MMF gatherings for audiences of researchers, surveyors, engineers and manufacturers have been named as iXblue, the National Physical Laboratory, Fugro and ecoSub Robotics.
