New heavylift joint venture signed
A new JV will bolster operations in heavy lifting, marine works and transport in Saudi Arabia.
Netherlands-based Roll Group has agreed a joint venture with the Saudi firm Heavylift FTE for transport, installation and marine works in Saudi.
The firms will operate as one company in Saudi Arabia, under the name ROLL FTE, and will be based in Dammam with yards in Jubai and Dammam on the east coast and Jeddah and Rabigh on the west coast.
“ROLL FTE’s large fleet of conventional hydraulic axles, SPMT, mobile cranes and various installation equipment will be based in Saudi to deliver comprehensive door to door solutions,” said Roll Group. “The joint venture also plans on investing in marine assets, which will be registered and based in Saudi to accommodate the growing number of projects in the country requiring a combined marine and land transportation solution.”
