New ROVs for Specialist Subsea Services
Aberdeen-based Specialist Subsea Services, ROV supplier and surveyor, has increased its fleet of work-class ROVs to six with the acquisition of two Schilling-HD 150hp systems from FMC Schilling Robotics of California worth over £4m.
Designed to significantly increase productivity using integral and versatile design functions which enable ease of tooling integration, operation and maintenance, the systems will be used for high quality pipeline surveys, drill support and heavy duty construction operations.
Their acquisition, said the Scottish company’s managing director Graeme Kidd, reflects increasing opportunities in subsea markets, both in the North Sea and emerging global regions.
