Adveto starts development of new ECDIS G8

“We are proud to announce that the development of our new ECDIS G8 has started” said Kent Sylvén, Managing Director of Adveto. “The G8 is a completely new product but equipped with a ‘Classic Mode’ with same controls and presentation as in our current ECDIS systems. The new ECDIS will also be compatible with all existing Adveto hardware as Keyboards, Control units, ESIG, SCU etc. Our current ECDIS-4000 will co-exist in parallel with the new G8 for many years ahead”

DNVGL will conduct all the necessary tests needed, in order to achieve the type approval for the new ECDIS. The ECDIS G8 will comply with the latest revisions of IEC-61174, 62288, 60945, 61162 and also the IHO publications S-52, S-57, S-63, S-64 etc.

Adveto says that its systems have become increasingly popular on board all kinds of vessels from High Speed Crafts to SOLAS vessels and especially at those operating in archipelagos. The majority of Adveto’s users are still found in Scandinavia but with a rapidly growing global presence.
