Meeting EEBD rulings
Survitec Group, the Birkenhead, UK-headquartered marine and offshore safety & survival solutions company, has been urging the industry to make sure that Emergency Escape Breathing Devices (EEBDs) on vessels are up to date.
EEBDs have been a requirement on vessels since SOLAS regulation in 2002. The 15-year service life on the first wave of products purchased to satisfy SOLAS, will expire in 2017.
