Cadeler expands presence in Poland

The value of the vessel reservation agreement is estimated to be between €48 million and €56 million, with the final terms to be negotiated. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2028, with Cadeler deploying one of its O-class vessels to undertake the installation.

BC-Wind, located 23 km off the Polish coast, is Ocean Winds’ first project in Poland and has a total capacity of up to 500 MW. This collaboration marks the first direct contract between Cadeler and Ocean Winds, although the two companies have previously worked together on the Moray West offshore wind farm in Scotland.

The project strengthens Cadeler’s position in Poland’s growing offshore wind market. It follows several significant contracts in the region, including agreements with Equinor and Polenergia for the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 offshore wind farms, as well as a deal with Ørsted and PGE for the Baltica 2 project.

Cadeler currently operates a fleet of six jack-up vessels, with five more newbuilds planned in the coming years.
