Marine Seismic Survey Database
Supported by EU funding, Euroseismic is a new central meta-database for geophysical data derived from marine seismic surveys for European seas which is now available on the internet www. eu-seased. net Based on data held by marine departments of European geological survey organisations and their partners, it comprises data-entry with online data import modules, online data edit, data quality control and data retrieval via a map interface in combination with numerical extended search facilities, data export and a GIS-based geographical interface for navigation and presentation.
Evolution in Hydrography is the main symposium theme, which will cover a wide range of contemporary issues. Scheduled topics include AUV’s and survey vessels, case studies, charting, data management, dredging support, multibeam surveying, seafloor mapping, and remote sensing.
Partners in the project are geological survey organisations of Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
