The world’s only conference on Oceanographic Survey Vessels convened for naval, national hydrographic office and coast guard audiences is to be held at the Kensington Close Hotel, London from 7-9 June.
Among scheduled speakers are senior representatives of the Brazilian, Colombian, French, Italian, Netherlands, Nigerian, New Zealand, Thai, Uruguay, Vietnam and UK navies with others drawn from the International Hydrographic Organization and NATO.
Supported by a small exhibition of equipment and services, proceedings open with a pre-conference focus day at which UK Hydrographer Captain David Robertson and others will discuss future mapping and development issues followed by an interactive workshop session covering vessel design, sensors and equipment. Subsequent main conference sessions on the remaining two days will deal with Requirements for Next-Generation Vessels, The Global Future for Vessels, and Expansion of Vessel Roles.
