Valeport Indonesian success
Valeport in Devon, UK, has reported a multiple delivery of 31 TideMaster tide gauges, 14 mini-SVS sound velocity sensors and a similar quantity of its miniSVP sound velocity profilers to the Indonesian Directorate General of Sea Transportation (HUBLA) in a venture carried out in association with South East Asian distributors, Hydronav Services of Singapore and Jakarta.
Delivery arrangements also included in-situ training for HUBLA’s District Navigation Branch personnel with systems interfaced to Teledyne Odom MB2 multibeam sounders and Applanix POSMV position and orientation systems.
Back home in Totnes, latest company developments include a new fast CTD profiler for delivery of high quality conductivity, temperature and depth of seawater casts at rapid drop rates. Developed for coastal and oceanographic profiling and completely programmable, it is also available with an optional integral Fluorometer in addition to a Bluetooth communications module for simple data analysis or export. Operating autonomously, it is powered by a single D-cell battery.
