Cornish marine contractor expands its operations

Building on its established reputation for mooring installation and maintenance, the company has now also expanded its portfolio to include vessel towing and salvage, safety and media boat charters, drone filming support and delivery of building materials to waterfront locations where road access is limited.

Operating a modern fleet of workboats fitted with hydraulic cranes and winches, the company is now able to manage lifting, transport and installation projects of all sizes to support harbour authorities, yacht clubs, marine contractors and private boat owners.

The introduction of safety and media boat hire has extended the company’s reach into event support, marine surveys and film production.

These vessels are also available for drone filming, environmental monitoring and coastal infrastructure work, providing reliable on-water support for a wide range of industries.

The company’s expansion reflects the growing demand for professional marine services in Cornwall, a region known for its busy harbours, thriving boating community and emerging marine technology sector.

Back in 2024, the firm was behind developing ‘smart’ buoys deployed in Falmouth Harbour to protect sensitive seagrass and maerl habitats from seabed scouring.

The new buoys designed, developed and installed by Mylor Mooring Services mark sensitive seagrass habitats whilst keeping their own mooring chains off the seabed

The project is a collaboration between Falmouth Harbour, the Ocean Conservation Trust, Mylor Mooring Services and Cornwall Council. It raises the total number of protective markers in the area to 26.
