Offshore wind maintenance conference
ACI’s Optimising Maintenance for Offshore Wind conference will be taking place in Hamburg, Germany, on 5th-6th October 2016. The two day event will bring together key industry stakeholders from the offshore wind industry, associations, consultants, and solution technology providers.
The conference organisers say this is a market set for substantial change – a young Industry with the potential to transform and decarbonise the electricity system in the EU in years to come. Considerable challenges of a political and economic nature are required for large scale deployment, therefore a European industrial strategy should be developed to ensure that offshore wind can meet its potential.
The need to cut costs is recognised across the industry, but as O&M activity moves farther from shore and into deeper waters that is not going to be easy. As deep offshore capacity increases, expertise, skills and technologies developed in Europe can be exported across the globe, alongside offering opportunities to third parties. The conference aims to address these challenges as we look towards powering the future.
