Thunderstorm detector for offshore wind industry

For the offshore industries, thunderstorms can play a significant part in disrupting operations. A new thunderstorm detector from UK meteorological instrument manufacturer Biral is claimed to be able to provide early warning of a nearby thunderstorm and so ensure the safety of operating personnel and minimise downtime.
