First time exhibitor Shipshape IMO (B199) is enjoying a ‘fantastic’ Seawork. The company specialises in multi-compliant, fire retardant bedding and mattresses.
MD Paul Hallatt started the company ten years ago by supplying mattresses to the leisure marine industry, but has expanded into the commercial sector.
Complex regulations surround mattresses and bedding on board but Ship Shape IMO confirms that its products comply with all the relevant codes and legal requirements.
Of its inaugural Seawork experience, Paul says they’ve paid for the stand on the first day, made some great contacts and joined a number of forums.
“We didn’t know what to expect, but we do know that pretty much every boat operated in this sector has a bed on it and we can cope with them all. We are delighted to say that at Seawork we’ve found someone in every category we wanted so far.”
