Bags of potential

Buoyancy and ballast specialist, Unique Seaflex, is returning to Mercator Media Ltds Seawork Exhibition this year on stand C7.

This airbag marks a milestone for Unique Seaflex

Unique Seaflex says its 50kg parachute-style air lift bag, destined to be part of a spread of air-lift bags supplied on hire to Bibby Offshore for its North Sea operations, represents a significant milestone.

This bag carries the serial number 30,000 – a landmark in the 26-year history of the Isle of Wight based manufacturer.

“With the business going through a period of significant worldwide growth, Seaflex will be back at Seawork on stand C7 in 2014, exhibiting its market-leading ranges of buoyancy and ballast bags and catching up with contacts from the diving, marine contracting, offshore and load-testing fraternities,” said Harry Ghandi, CEO of the Unique Maritime Group – long-time Middle Eastern representatives of Seaflex, and owners of the business since 2011.

In 2013, the largest bag produced at Seaflex’s purpose-built Cowes facility came in at 50t -1000 times the capacity of this modest-looking 50kg bag.

The Seawork Exhibition is taking place at ABP’s Port of Southampton from 10 to 12 June 2014.
