Jack-up deal gets done at Seawork
Discussions which took place at Seawork 2012 between Red7Marine Ltd and Ravestein Container Pontoon BV led to a deal being struck during the event whereby the Essex UK based company has acquired its seventh self elevating platform.
The new jack-up barge expands Red7Marine’s line-up of its wholly owned marine plant and equipment, with delivery of the vessel due early this month.
A modular design with maximum overall dimensions of 30m by 17m by 2.44m, the vessel has a maximum deck load capacity of 250 tonnes and a point load capacity of four tonnes per square metre. Individual spud legs with a total of 36m in length are made up from three jointed lengths of 12m.
The combined features of sectioned spud legs and the individual modular units being based on standard ISO containers provides customers with the tangible benefit of allowing Red7Marine to keep mobilisation costs to a minimum. This vessel is the largest in the company’s current line-up of self-elevating platforms which will enable Red7Marine to continue meeting its clients ever demanding requirements.
