Local recognition for Seawork
Mercator Media Limited, organisers of the Seawork International and Seawork Asia events have been awarded the Portsmouth News Business Excellence ‘International Development Award 2015’.
The recognition comes as a result of Mercator’s successful work in broadening the Seawork concept into an international brand including especially its launch of the Seawork Asia event last year. The extract from the Portsmouth News read: ‘Mercator Media, in Fareham, which has delivered Europe’s leading commercial marine exhibition, won the international development award. More than 7,000 marine professionals attended Seawork 2014 in Southampton and a new exhibition has now been launched in Asia.’
Mercator’s Chief Executive Andrew Webster collected the award at a glittering ceremony at Portsmouth’s Guildhall, saying: “I am immensely proud, and to think for 25 years all of our suppliers and many of our employees live within a couple of miles from this Guildhall. It’s fantastic.”
