MST plans big impact at Seawork 2013
“The increasingly wide audience, both in terms of geography and market, means Seawork is becoming more and more important to us as one of the key global exhibitions we attend.
That is according to says Philip Hilbert, sales director for Marine Specialised Technology’s (MST).
Having moved from the main exhibition hall to the outer quayside area, due to requiring more space for more products on display, MST will further increase its presence in 2013 with a new exhibition and hospitality unit.
The company also intends to outdo its own display at the 2012 event, which will be no easy task as it featured one of the new 10.5m E-Class Lifeboats (built for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution to enter service on the River Thames) and a 9.0m fully-enclosed, inherently self-righting, daughter RIB about to be delivered the RNLI’s German counterparts: Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbruchiger (DGzRS).
It has plans to support the ‘RIB at 50’ feature at Seawork 2013 by displaying one of its imposing 12.0m Fast Raiding, Interception and Special Forces Craft. This craft, which is one of fifty being supplied to The Netherlands Defence Materieel Organisatie, is one of the largest RIBs of its type and at the forefront of military craft technology. More than twenty are already delivered and in active service around the world most notably as part of the counter piracy forces from the EU Naval Force Somalia (EU NAVFOR) Operation Atalanta and NATO.
