Seaway winches at Seawork
The UK’s marine hydraulic systems provider, Seaway Powell Marine, was showcasing its Hypac range of winches, windlasses, davits and power packs at this year’s Seawork.
Manufacturing of Hypac in the UK has become necessary to cope with European demand for Det Norske Veritas (DNV) classed HHAW10/12 series anchor windlasses, aimed at the windfarm service vessel market.
The Hypac range of winches, windlasses, davits and power packs will be on show alongside the existing range of Seaway winches manufactured in Dorset for commercial, military and super yacht applications.
Elsewhere, the company has launched a new servicing facility for winches, windlasses and hydraulic and conventional sail and rigging controls.
Seaway Powell now has a mobile service and repair team which will initially focus on the area from Hamble to Weymouth.
Seaway engineers make regular calls into harbours, marinas and boat yards and respond to individual requests for service from leisure and commercial boat owners.
In addition, Seaway has launched a new range of Victory Series Actuators – electro-mechanical ram-style actuators that are a low maintenance alternative to fluid power cylinders.
Seaway says the actuator is ideally suited as a clean and efficient hydraulic cylinder replacement and offers the user a rugged, flexible, linear actuator platform for thrust and speed control.
