Sovereign bounces back to Seawork
Judy Toft, head of technical sales at UK-based Sovereign Rubber, recounts the process of moving up from Seawork visitor to Seawork exhibitor.
“I had never been to Seawork in all my 11 years of working in the marine industry, manufacturing extruded and wrapped rubber fenders. In 2012, I and a few colleagues came down to the exhibition to see if Sovereign would fit in as an exhibitor.
“We knew straight away we would. So, once back at the office, I started the ball rolling to book a stand for 2013. I found all the staff very helpful and informative and it was easy to book, very straightforward and not as expensive as I thought.
“It was a bit nerve wracking at first, but I needn’t have worried as the staff were there to lend a helping hand and guidance.
“Our stand was in the Small Business Enterprise Zone and, once it was set up, I took a step back to look at it and was pleased with the results. It proved you do not have to have the big guys designing it for you. The cost of the stand was very reasonable and gave us good value for money
“Exhibiting at Seawork gave us the opportunity to meet our customers and also gave us the chance to market to a wider customer base.
“The 2013 exhibition went very well for us and we made a quite a lot of new contacts. To be able to talk face-to-face and show the client our products, let’s face it, it beats the phone or the web any day. This is why we have booked again for 2014 and we are very much looking forward to it.”
Sovereign Rubber will be exhibiting at Seawork 2014 on stand SB95.
