UK Ministry of Defence at Seawork
The Boats Department of the MoD (DE&S), responsible for purchasing and support of all MoD boats from sailing craft to 30m workboats via RIBs, fast insertion vessels, will once again be exhibiting at Seawork International.
The MoD will use the opportunity to hold its annual industry days. The invitation for exhibitors to meet the MoD has been published in the online Exhibitor Manual; the closing date is 16 May.
The new team leader, Alistair Hughes, will be giving an overview of the MoD`s boat procurement programme in the Conference Room at 11:00am on Tuesday 10th June. This is an open event for exhibitors and visitors.
In addition, UKTrade & Industry (Defence and Security) will have a stand alongside the MoD and specialist staff involved in new business opportunities, export opportunities and engaging with the Defence Research programmes, will be on hand to advise exhibitors and visitors.
The programme has been forwarded to the international team of Naval Attachés based in London, and a number of these key officers are expected to attend the exhibition.
