GeoAcoustics explores new depths in US
GeoAcoustics, who appeared in Maritime Journal’s latest Special Report, Autonomy at Sea, has appointed Seafloor Systems Inc. as its channel partner in the United States, expanding distribution of its hydroacoustic survey equipment in the North American market.
Under the agreement, Seafloor Systems will represent GeoAcoustics’ full product range in the US. This includes the GeoSwath 4 bathymetric sonar, the GeoScan side scan sonar and the GeoPulse sub-bottom profiler systems. The equipment is used in hydrographic and geophysical survey applications across inland, coastal and offshore environments.
GeoAcoustics is based in Great Yarmouth, UK, and manufactures sonar and sub-bottom profiling systems for seabed mapping, dredging surveys, infrastructure inspection and environmental assessment. The company distributes its systems internationally through a network of regional partners.
Seafloor Systems, founded in 1999 and head-quartered in California, supplies integrated hydrographic survey solutions. The company works with crewed and uncrewed survey platforms and provides system integration and technical support services to the US survey sector.
“We’re delighted to welcome Seafloor Systems to our global Channel Partner Network, said Richard Dowdeswell, chief commercial officer at GeoAcoustics.
“Their proven track record and deep understanding of customer needs in the US survey market make them an ideal partner. This collaboration enhances our ability to support the growing demand for rugged, high-performance hydroacoustic systems throughout North America.”
John Tamplin, founder and CEO of Seafloor Systems Inc, said: “We are looking forward to offering GeoAcoustics’ highly respected hydrographic technologies to our clients.
