Østensjø Rederi chalks up multi-billion offshore contracts

The agreements, valued at approximately NOK3 billion, include contract extensions for the subsea vessels Edda Flora, Edda Fauna and Edda Freya with DeepOcean, extending these partnerships through 2026 and 2027.

Extended contracts

Vea said the contract extensions would ensure a seamless continuation of offshore operations, supporting both construction and maintenance work within the offshore renewables sector.

Offshore Flotel Edda Fides’ contract has also been extended with the current charterer for around six months, with additional options available. The vessel provides high-quality accommodation and general support services for charterers’ operations offshore Angola.

Offshore Flotel Edda Fortis will begin a firm four-month contract, with additional options available, for an international client this spring.

The vessel will serve the client’s project in the Mediterranean Sea, providing high-quality offshore accommodation and general support services to the charterer.

Meanwhile, PSV Edda Frende will commence a one year firm contract with Shell UK in 1Q 2025. The contract includes further options and the vessel will be performing supply duties in the North Sea on the UK continental shelf.
