Saildrone boosts European maritime surveillance

This strategic expansion comes amid rising geopolitical tensions and increased activity in the Baltic Sea, highlighting the need for persistent and advanced maritime intelligence.

Saildrone’s unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) are designed for long-endurance missions and can operate autonomously in extreme maritime environments. Using a range of sensors, these USVs provide real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities to monitor vessel movements and detect unusual activity above and below the surface.

Beyond surveillance, Saildrone USVs can also perform high-resolution ocean floor mapping, critical for securing subsea infrastructure such as pipelines, communication cables and offshore energy platforms.

By integrating seafloor imagery with proprietary machine learning algorithms, the system can identify and alert authorities to potential threats early.
