Med Marine enjoys strong 2025 start

The company said the deals reinforce its strategic expansion in Europe and highlight its continued focus on tailored, high-performance maritime solutions.

In January, the company signed an agreement to supply a 24-metre DRAfter 2400 series tugboat to Greece. Designed for harbour duties including towing and mooring, the vessel will deliver a minimum bollard pull of 40 tonnes and feature a conventional twin-screw propulsion system.

Spain is set to receive a RAmparts 2300-W tug, a compact 23-metre workhorse engineered for flexibility in harbour operations. The tug will deliver 50 tonnes of bollard pull and incorporate an azimuth stern drive propulsion system and dual winches.

February brought more significant developments, as Med Marine secured a contract to deliver two RAmparts 2500-W and one RAstar 3200-W series tugs to Italy. The 25-metre RAmparts units, each with 65 tonnes of bollard pull, are designed for versatile harbour work. Meanwhile, the 32-metre RAstar tug, boasting 80 tonnes of bollard pull and LNG terminal compatibility, will serve escort and terminal support roles.
