New Furuno dual-display TZT2BB
Furuno has launched Black Box NavNet TZtouch2 system TZT2BB with dual-display capability.
The TZT2BB has enough processing power to drive two separate touchscreen displays, delivering twice the navigation potential from a single black box unit. It also has the capability to handle different monitor resolutions and aspect ratios and supports full HD video input in HDMI format. It operates with a multi-touch interface and an optional keyboard can be added that allows operation of all the controls.
Furuno said: “For non-compulsory workboats, the NavNet TZT2BB offers a simplified method for integrating a variety of sensors, such as AIS, Heading Sensors, Satellite Compasses and more. It can serve as an ECS, overlaying satellite photography on the charts, plus with its pass-through monitor port, you can even display the vessel’s PC navigation or vessel control system right in one of the MFD windows. Also, it opens the opportunity to add unique sensor options, like NXT Doppler Solid-State Radar that gives you Target Analyzer mode, which tracks targets and automatically turns them from green to red when they pose a threat. “
The TZT2BB is a component-based system that leverages Furuno's network products, including a variety of NXT and X-Class radars, Fish Finders, multi-beam sonar, instruments and other sensors. Radars are available ranging from a 4kW Solid-State Doppler Dome to a 25kW Open Array.
For Fish Finders, the TZT2BB includes a built-in dual-frequency Furuno Fish Finder with RezBoost, a proprietary signal processing technique that creates images 4-8 times sharper than a conventional Fish Finder with a traditional transducer.
Furuno also has add-on options that include the DFF3D Multi-Beam Sonar, as well as black box DFF1-UHD TruEcho CHIRP Fish Finder.
The unit comes preloaded with raster, vector and fishing charts for the Western Hemisphere in MapMedia's MM3D format.
The US NOAA raster and vector charts are free, while the preloaded Navionics and C-Map charts are chargeable.
