Tideland unveils new navaids range at Seawork

US-based Tideland Signal is launching its new range of navaids at this year’s Seawork International in June.
The range includes E-Navcon, which combines the benefits of an X-band radar beacon and a compact AIS transmitter contained within a robust, weather-proof housing.
Mounted on buoys, hazards and points of interest, the racon component provides an all-weather position fix while the AIS system transmits information such as coordinates, type of hazard, weather and sea state.
The AIS component may also be used to monitor the racon and any other navaids fitted nearby.
Also featuring on the Tideland stand will be the new SRM-2 satellite remote monitoring system, V-20 Informer, AIS information and remote monitoring system and the NOVA 250 lantern.
The SRM-2 remote system can be installed on any navaid to transmit warning and data such as GPS position, geo-fence warning, lantern go/no go and battery voltage.
The V-20 Informer is an AIS information provider and remote monitoring system for use on marine navaids and other structures. Compact and with lower power consumption, the system is housed in a waterproof enclosure, making it suitable for solar installations.
Tideland’s NOVA-250 lantern projects a 360-degree, high-intensity horizontal beam over 15 nautical miles and is suitable for a range of fixed applications, including offshore structures, land-based installations and lighthouse upgrades.
