Tornado Boats launching new shock mitigation seat
Tornado Boats International has announced the launch of a new Shock Mitigation Suspension Seat for use on RIBs.
The Zero G2 Shock Mitigation Suspension Seat is constructed from 100% aluminium which makes it extremely robust and long-lasting.
Tornado claims that the Zero G2 Model ‘manifests its quality in the critical area of impact absorption’. The secret of good seat suspension is to decelerate the body over the greatest distance possible in a controlled manner. This means that the seat starts off soft, and the spring resistance increases as it compresses, slowing the body down progressively and gently. The full suspension travel is 195mm. The Shock Absorber is from Fox Defense with Proprietary Kashima Coating, is oil damped and has an infinitely adjustable air spring.
This gives maximum comfort in rough sea, and makes the seat ideal for military, search & rescue, offshore and law enforcement use.
Fully adjustable, it is constructed from military specification anodized alloy, which Tornado Boats says makes the seat virtually maintenance free.
The seat combines these features with the added practicality of a 30-litre storage box.
