A Tuesday workshop on bathymetric surveying will be a key part of the UK National Oceanographic Centre’s Marine Autonomy and Technology (MAT) Showcase event in Southampton from 14-18 November featuring world-leading platform and sensor developments together with opportunities for collaborative ventures.

Proceedings will cover the rapid development of unmanned systems for hydrographic operations meeting IHO standards comprising autonomous underwater and surface vehicles. The session will also cover advances in survey planning, positioning accuracy, quality control and deployment mechanisms. It will conclude with talks from ASV concerning recent deployment of its C-Worker 5 system for a NOAA survey in North Alaska followed by an overview of new Remus vehicles from Kongsberg Hydroid in the US.
