Few sectors are under as much pressure to clean up as shipping. The IMO’s emissions targets – a 40% reduction in carbon intensity by 2030 and net zero by 2050 – are shaping the choices owners and operators face on every newbuild and every major refit.

Regal Rexnord explains why in their opinion, the next stage will be hybrid propulsion, and it won’t be feasible everywhere.
