Pangeo Subsea opens UK base – by David Goodfellow

PanGeo Subsea of Newfoundland, Canada, has extended its European operations with the opening of premises in Aberdeen UK, complementing those in Denmark and Norway.

The development is in response to what Moya Cahill, the company’s president, says is strong demand for its 3D and 4D subsea acoustic imaging products and services which mitigate risk and create value for subsea installations for oil and gas as well as offshore renewable energy requirements. Mining and military uses are among other likely applications.

Founded in 2006, PanGeo Subsea last year secured $11m support from the venture capital arm of Chevron Technology Ventures. Future plans include opening of further offices in Brazil, Houston USA, and South East Asia.
