PODCAST: Circularity in sustainability – Europort tour leads the way
With sustainability at the top of the industrial agenda, more ways of saving cost, time and waste are being thought up. At Europort in Rotterdam this year, a tour was led around some of the exhibition stands to highlight how industrial practices can be re-shaped to incorporate this way of thinking.
The two ‘Maritime Sisters’ – and they are sisters – Marjolein and Sylvia Boer took delegates to hear examples from companies including Damen, Alewijnse, Holland Shipyard, Wärtsilä, Bureau Veritas and many more.
The sisters combined with the City of Rotterdam to pull together the daily tours, as well as the show organisers, the National Shipbuilding Office and Maritime & Offshore NL, the Dutch trade association for the shipbuilding and offshore sectors, who took part in our recent Seawork Series Insights webinars, which can be accessed here.
