Seaglaze enjoying success
Marine windows, doors and hatches manufacturer, Seaglaze Marine Windows, says it has its latest door and window products installed on at least four significant new British built vessels at this year’s Seawork International.
On berths V27 and V28, for example, two ‘next generation’ aluminium Crew Transfer Vessels of 23m and 26m length, built by South Boats IOW Ltd and launched earlier this year, have Seaglaze ‘Hidden Frame’ windows and Series 24 Weathertight Doors installed.
The ‘Hidden Frame’ window system is unique in offering the external look and aesthetic appeal of direct-bond glazing, yet benefits boat builders through the use of an internal frame. The ‘Hidden Frame’ system is manufactured exclusively by Seaglaze within its own glass toughening plant and painting facility. The company claims it is quicker to fit and remove than direct bond, and easier to trim inside, saving valuable hours during fit-out. Both vessels also have Seaglaze Series 24 Weathertight type approved doors installed within their superstructures.
Seaglaze ‘Hidden Frame’ windows can also be seen on berth V26 where Goodchild Marine’s latest new 16m SB Lynx, and on C-Truk’s MPC22 (Berth V25) Seaglaze has supplied both doors and windows.
