Solar Solve Marine Rolls Out the Blinds at SMM 2002

Firetite is a new product designed and developed in conjunction with a European fast ferry builder which offers protection to passengers and crew from the hazardous effects of smoke in the event of a shipboard fire. Six ferries already have Firetite installed and the product is now being made available to other builders around the world.

Demand for Solar Solve’s electrically operated anti-glare roller screens and indeed all types of roller blinds continues to grow, prompting the development of an advanced electronic control system to enable simpler installation and operation.

This second new product is suitable for both AC and DC powered motors and allows operation of all rollers together or in groups, from a central location.

Solar Solve have just supplied 30 sunscreens for the first of a new design of orange juice carrier. The Solasafe roller sunscreens are installed at the navigation bridge and control room windows of the newbuild Carlos Fisher.

Built in Norway, the vessel has just entered service carrying up to 37,000 tonnes of orange juice from Brazil to the USA, Japan and Europe.

Four representatives will be manning Solar Solve Marine’s Stand 7003/17 at SMM. It will be found as part of the British pavilion located in Hall 7.
