Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri has embarked on a new revenue stream with eyes on subsea technology and development, the company says.

Announcing a target to reel in €820 million in revenue, the company says it will set up an ‘Underwater Technology Hub’ to integrate civil, military and dual-use underwater capabilities under unified management, bringing together expertise in submarine systems, acoustic and radar technologies, unmanned vehicles and topside deployment solutions.
