Survitec awarded

The award was won for its new Rope Access 3D lifejacket, specifically designed for those looking for a 3D designed, comfortable lifejacket with key features for operating at height. The judging panel agreed that the jacket represented a skilful amalgamation of existing, proven technologies to solve a real-world commercial marine problem.

Nigel Parkes, design manager, Survitec, said: “The Rope Access lifejacket is the next level in lifejacket design for those operating offshore and at height, throughout these designs we have worked to improve both the comfort of the lifejacket and the integration with a number of leading fall arrest harness options.”

As part of the design, the Rope Access 3D 275N encompasses an ergonomic 3D shaping giving the user total freedom of movement and unique weight distribution, providing the ultimate comfort including complete flexibility around the neck which can be crucial for working use.

The Rope Access has been manufactured to industry leading SOLAS safety standards and includes an approved light, whistle and reflective tape, ensuring a person a person can be located quickly if they fall in the water.

It also has the ability to be worn with any integrated fall arrest harness, providing the user with one complete safety solution and an easy and efficient choice for offshore industry.

Also nominated for a Seawork Innovations Showcase award this year was Survitec’s recently launched 1000 series tri-approved Wind Energy Suit, specifically designed for the renewable energy industry to provide the ultimate protection for personnel travelling over water.
